ORBID leverages the principles of chaos theory to create a software-generated, encrypted mark that is applied on almost any surface using common production techniques such as laser etching and labeling.
ORBID 2DMI is a graphical representation of data that has the appearance of pickup sticks being thrown randomly in a square.
Special ORBID software encrypts any data string (like a serial number, a production date, and a customer ID) into a unique 2DMI code.

By scanning the 2DMI code the original data is retrieved. Equipment typically found in a given manufacturing, distribution and retail setting is used to print, apply, or read a 2DMI code.
